Friends for Life Programme
Sixth Class pupils have already completed the ‘Friends for Life’ Programme, promoting positive friendships within the classroom setting. The programme helped students to develop resilience by teaching them effective strategies to cope with, problem solve and manage all kinds of emotional distress, including worry, stress, change and anxiety. Skills learned throughout the programme help students both now and in later life.
The programme was very successful and was enjoyed by all. Therefore, we have decided to continue to focus on the promotion of overall wellbeing within the entire school community between February and June 2018.

Friendship Week 5th-10th of February 2018
We introduced our Buddy Bench to the yard. The aim of the Buddy Bench is to eliminate loneliness and foster friendship on the playground. It is a child-led positive mental health programme that promotes emotional resilience and mental well-being.
We invited Fr. Colm along to bless our Buddy Bench and mark the start of friendship week.
