Safer Internet Day 2018

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people. It is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise. The Theme for Safer Internet Day 2018 is “Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you”. Safer Internet Day 2018 will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 6th.

St. Malachy’s Girls School will join many others in the celebration.
All classes will start an Internet Safety Awareness Programme (Webwise).

Garda John Brady, representing the Garda Schools Programme, will deliver a talk about internet safety to Sixth class. Garda Brady has already presented an Internet Safety Information evening at our school for all parents and staff. The evening was very educational and we know that the sixth class girls with benefit from a similar presentation.
