Author Visits St. Malachy's Girls' School

There was great excitement in St. Malachy's Girls' School when on Thursday, 22nd of September, an author and past pupil of our school visited 4th and 5th classes. Valerie Murphy, who writes under the pseudonym, Valinora Troy, holds an MA in Creative Writing, specialising in writing for young children and adults. Valerie spoke to the girls about the writing process and read some passages aloud for the girls. It was an amazing experience for the girls to be able to ask the author questions about her own book. Later Valerie signed copies of her book, much to the delight of the pupils.
